1. First Daewoo leganza was launched in 1999. This is a base model of leganza. The design of this car was inspired with 1990’s Jaguar Kensington concept car and its outer body was inspired by 1991 Toyota Aristo
The leganza is luxurious sedan but due to its poor performance, it could not get more popular than other gamily cars of that time. The Daewoo Leganza was basically a front-wheel-drive car, available in a four-door sedan body only. The engine of leganza was powered by Holden-sourced D-TEC DOHC 16V I4 engines which provide two displacements by using the same block and bore but differing in stroke:
The Daewoo Leganza is surprisingly good for a Korean sedan. We cannot compare it directly to the Stratus, since we have not drive the 2001 model yet. However, we can say it is nimble, with a firm but cushioned ride - not luxurious, but not too harsh, either - similar to the first-generation Stratus. The steering wheel moves too easily, though, and does not recenter quickly enough.
