The 2004 Infiniti G35 is available as a four-door sedan or two-door coupe that seats four. All models are powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine, the same engine used in the Nissan 350Z. A five-speed automatic transmission with a manual-shift mode is standard, but a six-speed manual is available on some models.
The 2004 Infiniti G35 is available in four models G35 Sedan, G35 Sedan Leather, G35 Sedan Sport 6MT and the new G35 Sedan Leather AWD. All models come equipped with a 260-horsepower V6 engine with choice of a 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode offered on the G35 Sedan, G35 Sedan Leather and G35 Sedan Leather AWD. The G35 Sedan Leather 6MT model features a close-ratio 6-speed manual and standard rear viscous limited-slip differential (the Infiniti Traction Control System is not available on this model).
But during arecent snow-and-ice storm, we left a 2004 Infiniti G35x out front as an experiment of sorts. We wanted to see how the all-wheel-drive version of the G35 would perform in what we consider one of the most grueling subdivision driving tests, getting out of the driveway and on with life in the worst weather conditions.
