The 1997 Geo Metro comes with a lackluster interior. Backseat pockets and split rear seat for access to the trunk are standard in the LSi. It comes standard with cloth seating, and there are no options for leather. Air-conditioning is optional, and any stereo system is considered an option.
The 1997 Geo Metro gets amazing gas mileage with its 1.0-liter and 1.3-liter engines, but it is extremely underpowered. The LSi comes standard with the 1.3-liter four-cylinder, and while it is good enough to get around town, it isn't really ideal for heavy travel. Even less impressive, the base models have a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine. In both cases, it tends to lag and hesitate during acceleration. The LSi's engine makes 70 lb-ft of torque while the 1.0-liter makes 58 lb-ft of torque.
Vehicle: 1997 Geo Metro This is my first Geo Metro ever and to be honest i wasn't happy at first when i bought it. Although it grows on you when you get such killer gas mileage and it never breaks down on you. I have a lsi 4cyl 5-speed and i think it's pretty fun to drive and easy to repair. I would recommend this car to anyone if you can stand to not drive the most flashy thing on the streets.
